Self Made has been in Montana for 30 years and we call the Madison Range Mountains our home. Staffed and equipped with some of Montana’s most experienced barman, service professionals and musicians Self Made is ready to create a personalized experience for you and your guests.
Over the years, Self Made and its employees have fed their passion in the service industry, bartending as well as DJing. Our love for discovering innovative and balanced cocktails while creating lasting relationships with our community has made us a local favorite. Kenny Sim
Hi, my name is Kenny Sim and I’m originally from Illinois. My good friend and fellow bartender, JP, and I met in college. When I found out he was living in Montana, I had to see what it was about. After I visited one winter I knew I had to come out here in a more permanent capacity. In my time here I have learned how to ski, have hiked countless miles, and have taken endless pictures. On top of all that, with Edwin’s helpful knowledge, I have been able to pick up the craft of bartending and its many intricacies. Like a great philosopher once said, “I’m here for a good time, not a long time.” I hope myself and the rest of the team can provide that experience.
Nick Carpenter
Hi, my name is Nick Carpenter. I grew up in Minnesota and came to Montana to attend college. After attending Montana State University in Bozeman, I moved to Big Sky and I have never looked back. My passion for bartending began at Lone Mountain Ranch. Since then I have developed an interest in mixology and creating my own spin on cocktails. I began working with Self Made to create drinks you’ve never heard of, while still bringing you the classics that you love and to get you on the dance floor.

Hello, my name is Justin Morrison and I’m originally from Milwaukee, WI. If you have ever been to Wisconsin, I’m sure you noticed our healthy drinking culture. I originally moved to Montana to teach ski lessons and simultaneously began my career in the food and beverage industry at Lone Mountain Ranch’s Restaurant – The Horn and Cantle. I had the privilege of meeting and training under Edwin at LMR. He was able to help me work my way up into a bartending position and learn the craft of the bar.And, what better way than to enjoy a cocktail than with some of your favorite music spun by me. My love for music and passion for drink making go hand in hand. I am thrilled to continue my journey of learning behind the bar and DJing by joining Edwin’s high-caliber team here at Self Made Services.
